"I refuse to waste my pain."

I'd like for you to listen in on a conversation I had with two students, Curtis & William:

“I couldn’t bring myself to get out of bed. I just sat in my room and smoked every minute of the day. I’d go entire days without talking to anyone.” 

And one day I found myself with it loaded, pressed against my temple...Who would notice? Who would care? 

But my story isn’t over yet. I refuse to waste my pain.

If I would’ve given up on life, all my pain would’ve been for nothing and God would have had no opportunity to use my pain in other people’s lives.”

Curtis refuses to waste his pain. He is convinced that God will use it to help others; and he is convinced that suffering with God is better than an easy life without God.
